Why is B-12 cyanocobalamin the best choice for use in the Arise formula?

There are three specific reasons that make cyanocobalamin the best choice for use in the formula, which I’ll get to in just a minute. First, lets talk briefly about where B vitamins come from in the diet generally. The vast majority of available B vitamins are provided as the product of bacterial fermentation. That is why fermented foods like sauerkraut are so high in B vitamins. Thats also one of the main benefits of having healthy gut cultures of probiotic bacteria, they manufacture B vitamins inside your digestive process as they ferment foods.

The cyanocobalamin that we use is made in the same way. The cobalamin is produced by natural bacterial fermentation. That cobalamin is then filtered through activated charcoal to purify it. The same activated charcoal that you would use as part of a detoxification process. It is in that filtering process that the fermented cobalamin picks up the cyano group to finish the cyanocobalamin.

It’s a natural process of fermentation of a microbe called Pseudomonas denitrificans. The original (many years ago) source of the microbe was its isolation from fertile wild soil.
